Overview

The SBS is based on the inductive method of Bible study. This means that we try to be listeners of the Scriptures; the inductive method seeks to let the Bible speak for itself, based on close observation of the text. To do this, we do not begin by studying verses or paragraphs, but first try to grasp the context of the whole book. The three steps we will constantly apply are: Observation: What does the text say? Interpretation: What did the text mean to the original readers? Application: What does the text mean to me/us today? Recognized by the University of the Nations as: CHR 213, CHR 315, CHR 316.
